The Lord led Pastor Jared Decker to come to Grandview Pines Baptist Church in January of 2007. The Lord has truly blessed our church since that time, and we are continuing to pray for and look forward to what God has in store for our church. Pastor Decker has started this blog as an extension of his ministry at GPBC for the following purposes:
• To give God’s people constant updates on the growth, progress, and projects at our church.
• To keep God’s people informed with a Biblical perspective on events in our Country and our world.
• To help encourage God’s people to study the Word of God and get everything out of it that God intends.
• To provoke God’s people to both thought and action in their day-to-day Christian life and walk with Christ.

Pastor Decker grew up in a preacher’s home and received his Biblical training under the leadership of his father, Pastor Ed Decker (Now the Pastor of Liberty Baptist Church in Camden, Ohio). Although brought up in church and under Biblical teaching, Pastor Decker didn’t receive Christ as Saviour until age thirteen (You can read Pastor Decker’s salvation testimony here).
Pastor and Mrs. Decker were married on October 4, 2002, at their home church in Ocean Springs, MS, Grace Independent Baptist Church.
